Pier to Pier Beach Run

Event Overview

Join us Saturday, April 25, 2026, for the Annual Pier to Pier Beach 5K Run. The event will take place on the sandy beach from the Springmaid Pier and then under the Myrtle Beach State Park Pier and out to the turn 1.55 miles from the start. All race participants will receive a custom finisher’s medal and a memorable Tshirt.

Fun Run Information

We will also host an untimed 1-mile Pier to Pier Fun Run after the conclusion of the 5K! Participants will run/walk the mile on the beach and then be cheered on through the finish! All race participants will receive a memorable Tshirt.

• Costumes: Dress in fun and appropriate beach wear
• Registration Deadline: March 20, 2025 (guarantees shirt size)
• Finisher's Shirt: Available for all participants
• Check-in: Required to receive t-shirts

Parking Information

Parking will be at the Nash Street Public Beach Access at 3201 Nash Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The Double Tree Hotel will be allowing Horry County Parks and Recreation to utilize their parking garage.

• Alternative Parking: Shipwreck Island Adventure Golf
• Shuttle Service: Coastal RTA shuttles starting at 7am if needed

Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Friday, April 24, 2026
• Locations:
• Government and Justice Center (9am-11am)
• South Strand Recreation Center (5pm-7pm)
• Race Day Pick-Up: Starting at 7:00am at race site
• Note: Check-in for Fun Run required for t-shirts

Race Logistics

The start and finish lines will be in the same location near the Springmaid Pier. Free refreshments will be available near the finish line for all runners.

Awards will be given in the following categories (Must be present to receive award, no mailing of awards).

• Overall: Male and Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd (5k)
• Age Division Structure: (Age group awards are based on net gun time)
• 0 to 9
• 10 to 19
• 20 to 29
• 30 to 39
• 40 to 49
• 50 to 59
• 60 to 69
• 70 Plus
• Employee Enrollment: Horry County Employees pay a $35 enrollment fee (reimbursed after race)
• Note: Fun Run participants not eligible for reimbursement
