Event Details/Detalles del Evento:

• Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
• Location: University Park Elementary School, University Park, MD
• Activities: Choose from USATF-sanctioned 5K, 1-Mile Challenge Run, or 1K Family Fun Run.
• Organizer: University Park Elementary School (UPES) Parent Teacher Association: proceeds benefit school programs.

It will take place rain or shine. Dogs and strollers welcome.

Registration Information/Información de Registro:

• Early Registration: 5K racers registering by April 10 will pay $30 plus processing fees.
• Price Increases: 5K price increases to $35 on April 11, and $45 on packet pick-up day (May 1).
• 1K and 1-Mile Pricing: $15 throughout registration, increasing to $25 on race day.
• Discounts: $5 discount for groups of four or more: discounts for multiple event sign-ups.

Sponsorship Opportunities/Patrocinio:

• Family Sponsor: Donation of $120 (or more) to get your name on the back of the shirt.
• Registration Option: Option to donate/sponsor during registration.
• Non-registration Donations: Donate from the race's website by clicking "donate".
• Family Sponsors Deadline: Accepting until April 19.

Race Week! ¡Semana de la Carrera!

• Packet Pick-up: May 1 from 2pm until 6:30pm and May 2 from 7am until the race begins.
• Shirt Availability: Shirts distributed on a first-come-first-served basis during packet pick-up.
• Street Closures: Expect street closures beginning at 7am along the race route.
• Parking Suggestions: Recommended parking areas include 4300 Block Underwood St, 6500-6600 Block of 44th Ave, 4200 Block of Tuckerman St, and On 41st Ave and Queens Chapel Rd.
