Join us for the 16th Annual Stop the Silence 5K Walk/Run on April 18, 2026, at Tom Bass Regional Park - Section 1, Houston, TX. This event is a celebration and honor for black women diagnosed with breast cancer and an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of breast health.

📅 Event Overview

• Launch Date: First launched in April 2010.
• Significance: The first and only national breast cancer walk hosted by a black-led organization for black women.
• Timing: Hosted in April to draw attention to National Minority Health Awareness month.

🎉 Participant Information

• Community Involvement: Over the last 15 years, more than 4,000 participants from around the United States travel to Houston annually.
• Purpose: To honor and celebrate black women diagnosed with breast cancer.
• Fundraising: A portion of the funds raised benefits the Sisters Network Inc. Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP).

💖 Program Benefits

• 3D Mammograms: The national program pays for 3D mammograms for uninsured women.
• Financial Assistance: Provides financial assistance to breast cancer survivors currently in treatment.
