BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk

Event Overview

5k run or 1 mile walk honoring stroke survivors and their family members.

Located in downtown Toledo at Promenade Park.

Race Course

• Route: Run along the Maumee River front, across the Cherry Street Bridge and through the beautiful Glass City Metropark.
• Date: 2026-10-10.
• Location: 250 Water St, Toledo, OH.

Fundraising Purpose

100% of registration, donations, and raffle proceeds will go directly into The ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund. The fund is able to cover the cost of:

• Medications: Assistance with medication costs.
• Health Equipment: Support for necessary health supplies.
• Transportation: Help for patients traveling to appointments.
• Utilities: Coverage for rent and utilities for patients in need.

Your Entry Includes

• Entrance: To the 5K Run/1 Mile Walk.
• Timing: Bib Chip Timing.
• T-Shirt: BE FAST Stroke 5k T-Shirt.
• Food: Snacks, drinks, and post-race meal.

• Health Assessments: Free Stroke Risk Assessments including blood pressure screenings.
• Educational Material: Stroke Educational Material provided.
• Community Fair: Entrance into the community resource fair with multiple vendors.
• Activities: Face painting, balloon animals, DJ, and photography.

Schedule

• Kids Fun Run: Starts at 9:30am (100 yard dash).
• Walk Start: 9:45am.
• Run Start: 10:00am.
• Registration Fee: $25.00 per participant until 9/25/2026: rises to $35.00 on 9/26/2026.

Special Notes

• Free Registration: Registration is free for stroke survivors.
• Raffle: Silent auction and raffle items will be available starting at 11:30am following the Awards Ceremony.
• Shirts: Race shirts are not guaranteed after September 25, 2026.
• Presence Required: You must be present to receive your shirt: shirts will not be mailed unless you are a virtual participant.
