BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk

Event Overview

5k run or 1 mile walk honoring stroke survivors and their family members.

Located in downtown Toledo at Promenade Park.

Run along the Maumee River front, across the Cherry Street Bridge and through the beautiful Glass City Metropark.

Fundraising Commitment

• Charity Focus: 100% of registration, donations, and raffle proceeds will go directly into The ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund.
• Support Provided: The fund is able to cover the cost of medications, health equipment, health supplies, transportation to and from appointments, and rent/utilities for patients with limited financial means as a result of their stroke.

Your Entry Includes:

• Event Access: Entrance to the 5K Run/1 Mile Walk.
• Timing: Bib Chip Timing.
• Apparel: BE FAST Stroke 5k T-Shirt.
• Refreshments: Snacks and Drinks.

• Post Event: Post race meal.
• Health Services: Free Stroke Risk Assessments including blood pressure screenings.
• Educational Material: Stroke Educational Material.
• Community Engagement: Entrance into the community resource fair with multiple vendors.

• Activities: Face painting/balloon animals.
• Entertainment: DJ and photography.

Event Schedule

• Kids Fun Run: Starts at 9:30am and is a 100 yard dash.
• Walk Start: 9:45am.
• Run Start: 10:00am.

Registration Details

• Early Registration Fee: $25.00 per participant until 11:59 on 9/25/2026.
• Price Increase: Price increases to $35.00 per participant on 9/26/2026.
• Special Offer: Registration is free for stroke survivors.

Additional Information

• Silent Auction: Silent auction and raffle items will be available! Raffle starts at 11:30am following the Awards Ceremony.
• Race Shirts: Race shirts are not guaranteed after September 25, 2026.
• Shirt Collection: You must be present to receive your shirt. Shirts will not be mailed unless you are a virtual participant.
