BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us for the BE FAST 5k Run or 1 Mile Walk, honoring stroke survivors and their family members. This event will take place on October 10, 2026, at 250 Water St, Toledo, OH.

📍 Location

Located in downtown Toledo at Promenade Park, run along the Maumee River front, across the Cherry Street Bridge, and through the beautiful Glass City Metropark.

❤️ Purpose

100% of registration, donations, and raffle proceeds will go directly into The ProMedica Foundation Stroke Patient Assistance Fund. The fund is able to cover the cost of:

• Medications: Help with essential treatments.
• Health Equipment: Support for necessary items.
• Transportation: Aid for travel to appointments.
• Rent/Utilities: Assistance for patients with limited means.

🎟️ Your Entry Includes

• Entrance: 5K Run/1 Mile Walk.
• Timing: Bib Chip Timing.
• T-Shirt: BE FAST Stroke 5k T-Shirt.
• Snacks: Drinks and a Post race meal.
• Health Assessments: Free Stroke Risk Assessments including blood pressure screenings.
• Educational Material: Stroke Information.
• Resource Fair: Entrance into the community resource fair with multiple vendors.
• Activities: Face painting/balloon animals, DJ, and photography.

⏰ Event Schedule

• Kids Fun Run: Starts at 9:30 AM, 100 yard dash.
• Walk: Begins at 9:45 AM.
• Run: Starts at 10:00 AM.
• Registration Fee: $25.00 until 9/25/2026, increases to $35.00 after.

🎉 Special Notes

Registration is free for stroke survivors.

Silent auction and raffle items will be available! Raffle starts at 11:30 AM following the Awards Ceremony.

👕 Race Shirts

Race shirts are not guaranteed after September 25, 2026. You must be present to receive your shirt. Shirts will not be mailed unless you are a virtual participant.
