In August 2024, One Child At A Time was honored to receive the Governor’s Proclamation recognizing January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month in South Carolina. As we begin the new year, we’re committed to turning awareness into action. Breaking the Chains 5K Run was created by One Child At A Time as a powerful way to raise awareness and funds to fight against child sexual exploitation and human trafficking in our community. This event directly supports our prevention education programs, community outreach initiatives, and victim support services. Every step taken in this race represents a stand against exploitation and a stride toward safety, healing, and hope. Join us as we start the year strong, running for freedom, unity, and change. Together, we can protect children and empower families with the tools to stop exploitation before it starts.

"Our mission is to eliminate modern slavery one person at a time. We work to prevent human trafficking through education, rescue trafficked individuals through intervention and restore human dignity through affirmation."

The most exciting part: YOU can lace up your shoes and join the movement to “Break the Chains” of
exploitation, because together, we can create a safer future for every child!

Course Map: (5K Run-Walk):
Same route as “the Witches Run 5k and “Turkey Trot”

Shirts:
T-Shirts are guaranteed to all racers who register by December 20th .

Youth- SMALL, MEDIUM AND LARGE
