The 9th Annual Blobfest 5K, 10K & Half Marathon!

Please do all you can to pick up your bib at the street fair on Saturday. Also do all you can to get there EARLY! Sunday morning will be busy and we cannot allow anyone to start their race late.

About Blobfest

Every year, Phoenixville, PA celebrates Blobfest in honor of 1958's The BLOB. And every year, we throw a running party to help celebrate and support the historic Colonial Theatre that stars in the film! Join us as we start and finish right in front of the Colonial Theatre.

Course Decoration Contest

Not a runner? Get a group of friends together to participate in our course decoration contest and you could win gift cards to our local Phoenixville restaurants. Here's how it works:

• Team Theme: Decorate in a Blob (or other monster/alien) theme.
• No Disruption: Don’t obstruct or startle our runners.
• Judging: Runners will vote for the best scenes after the race.
• Award: Winners will receive gift cards!

Location & Parking

The race starts in front of the Historic Colonial Theatre on Bridge Street! 227 Bridge St. The street will be closed to cars.

• Free off-site parking: Available at Phoenixville Middle School, 1000 Purple Pride Parkway.
• Shuttle Service: Free shuttle bus will run from 6:00 am to 11:00 am.
• Parking for 5K and 10K: Encouraged at the middle school.
• Half Marathon Parking: Should park at the middle school only if bibs were picked up the day before.

Finisher's Medal & Flexible Options

• Medals: Every finisher in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon will receive an incredible Blob-themed finisher's medal!
• Option to Drop Down: If registered for the half marathon but it is very hot, you can drop down to the 10K or 5K.
• Communication: Just tell our timer at the starting line.

Starting Times

• Half Marathon: 7 am
• Kids' Run: 7:30 am
• 5K: 7:45 am
• 10K: 8:00 am

Packet Pickup

• Saturday: 11 am to 5 pm at the RUNegades table at the Blobfest Street Fair.
• Race Day: Starting at 6 am in the Children’s Plaza next to the Colonial Theatre.

Water Stops

• Hydration: We will have lots of water during the race.
• Encouragement: Runners are encouraged to bring their own water.
• Locations (Half): miles 1, 3.1, 4.7, 6.55, 7.3, 9.2, 11.1, & 11.8.
• Locations (10K): miles 1, 3.1, 4.7.
• Location (5K): mile 1.8.

Awards

5K, 10K, and Half marathon awards will recognize:

• Top 3 M/F Overall: Recognized for each race.
• Top 3 M/F Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
• Special Rewards: For best dressed, best course decorations, and most Blobbiest team.

Support for the Historic Colonial Theatre

$5,000 and 100% of all donations will go to The Historic Colonial Theatre, the site of The Blob's most famous scene!
