🍻 Bull City Beer Mile Overview
The Glass Jug Beer Lab and Bull City Running Co. are proud to present the 5th annual Bull City Beer Mile on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Downtown Durham's Central Park.
🏃♂️ What is a Beer Mile?
- Race Type: A 1-mile drinking race combining running and speed drinking.
- Course: Not on a flat track: participants run around Central Park.
- Beer: Enjoy a 12-oz RUN DRM lager brewed by The Glass Jug Beer Lab at the start of each lap.
- Eligibility: Competitors must be 21 years old or older.
🎁 Participant Perks
- Beers: Every participant receives four 12-ounce beers for the race.
- Free Items: The first 300 registrants will also get a Beer Mile water bottle, 16oz can koozie, and a Beer Mile sticker.
- Swag: Check out optional Beer Mile swag including new t-shirts, quick-dry hats, headbands, socks, and glassware!
- Medals: Top finishers receive special Bull City Beer Mile medals that double as bottle openers, along with a prize pack from Hoka.
🎉 Party in the Park
- Heats: Running heats from 2:30pm until 4:45pm, party goes until 7:00pm.
- Entertainment: DJ Gummy will keep the atmosphere lively.
- Food: Two food trucks will be on site, plus The Glass Jug mobile beer trailer for refreshments!
- Socializing: Runners and spectators can enjoy a beer while cheering on participants.
🚗 Parking Information
- Location: Parking available at Durham Center Parking Garage at the corner of Foster and W Morgan St.
- Alternative: Additional parking at the Farmer's Market lot on Morris Street.
- Reminder: Please drink and run responsibly!
