It's a Thanksgiving Day Tradition!
If you think the only race that happens on Thanksgiving Day is seeing who gets a second helping of pumpkin pie first, guess again! Before lifting a fork, watching football, and taking a post-turkey snooze, hundreds of Andersonians start their holiday by giving thanks - with the famous Electric City Gobbler 5K and 1 MILE FUN RUN!
New this Year
- Tail Feathers on Fire 1 Mile Time Trial: We welcome the tail feathers of Elite runners, weekend warriors, mamas with strollers, and kids alike along our fast 5K run course.
- 1 Mile FUN RUN: A great option for those who prefer a shorter distance.
- Fun and Prizes: Enjoy a flair for costumed fun, prizes, and a reason to feel guilt-free about gobbling down all day.
- Registration: Get signed up, you turkeys!
Proceeds
Proceeds go to scholarship kids in the community to be active through our Operation Active Kids Program, OAK.

- Date: Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026
- Location: 1313 Main Street, Anderson, SC
- Packet Pick Up: Wednesday, November 25th: Day before race at Mall Noon until 6PM.
- 5K Course: Certified course on city streets surrounding the Anderson Mall - FAST and SAFE! (COURSE MAP HERE)

- Tail Feathers on Fire 1 Mile Time Trial: 8:00 AM
- 1 Mile Fun Run: 8:02 AM
- 5K Start: 8:30 AM
Finish Line
- Medals: Medals and Hydration will be available at the Finish Line.
- 1 Mile FUN Run: Course is enclosed around Mall (not timed).
- Tail Feathers on Fire 1 Mile Time Trial: Is enclosed around Mall.

- Details: Registration online page will reflect price - price includes chipped bib and finish line medal. Souvenir race shirts are optional and can be added on for a fee.
Strollers are welcome & Costumes are encouraged!
