The 37th Canton Fall Classic

After 36 years our beloved classic 10k course needed to be retired. We got a reprieve last year, but have been informed by town officials that they will not approve the route in 2026. There have been many changes in the town over the race history that make the course too challenging for the police to feel comfortable with everyone’s safety.

We do believe that Canton is a beautiful town and our alternative course will still prove both scenic and challenging. We feel we also do our best to make runners feel welcome and have a great record of providing accurate courses, times, great awards, high quality t-shirts and a vibrant best post race scene. We are fortunate to have a large pool of repeat runners. We are hoping that will continue in future years.

Featuring new 5k and 10k courses

Temple Loop - 5K & 10K
Start/Finish: 1301 Washington St, Canton, MA

• Simultaneous Start: The 5K and 10K start simultaneously in front of the temple and take a right on Pleasant St.
• Elevation: There are some elevation variations in the first couple of miles of the course, but none too challenging.
• Downhill Segment: The course takes a right on Sherman St. which is slightly downhill.
• Challenging Hill: The next right onto Washington St. features a significant hill sure to tax athletes as they approach either the finish or the start of the second loop.

The 10K course passes the temple and follows the same route. The Washington St. hill will certainly feel more difficult the second time around.

Starting Times

• Senior Walk & Fun Run: 1 mile Senior Walk AND Fun Run will start simultaneously at 8:00 am.
• Road Races: 5K and 10K road races will start simultaneously at 8:30 am.
• Registration: REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 8:15 am.

Awards

• Prize Pool: Over $2,400 in Cash and Merchandise Prizes.
• Record Bonuses: $50 Cash prize for new men's or women's 5K overall course record.
• 10K Record Bonus: $100 Cash Prize for new men's or women's 10K overall course record.
• Ceremony Time: Awards ceremony to begin at 9:45 am.

Parking

• Available Parking: Parking is available for the first 200 cars in the Draper Mfg. lot.
• Overflow Parking: Overflow parking will be directed to Chapman St.
• Parking Restrictions: Please note: Parking on Chapman street is limited to the odd numbered side of the street only.
• Fun Run Course: There will be no parking allowed on the fun run course (Draper and Sumner St.).
