About this race
Race Description
Come celebrate FESTIVUS with the rest of us while completing an awesome 5k course.
We are back for the 6th year. We look forward to making the experience even better this year.
All proceeds go directly to the New Florence Volunteer Fire Company.

Packet Pickup
- Time: Begins at 9:00 AM
- End Time: Registration closes at 9:50 AM
- Note: Cash or Check only on race day
- Children: 10 and under are free, but must purchase a t-shirt
Pricing
- Early Registration: $20 until November 15th at 6 PM
- Standard Registration: $25 until registration closes
- Day of Race: $30
- Children's Registration: $10 day of for those 10 and under

- Categories: Top 3 Male & Female overall
- Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
- Walk Division: Top 3 Male & Female
- Eligibility: No duplicates: must run under own power
Schedule of Events
- 9:00 AM: Registration opens
- 9:50 AM: Registration closes
- 10:00 AM: Race starts
- 11:10 AM: Awards ceremony
Race Route
The race starts in front of the former New Florence ambulance garage. The course includes:
- Distance: Exactly 3.10 miles
- Course Details: Includes running along route 711
- Water Stop: Located at 1.45 miles
- Caution: Traffic is minimal but be aware of surroundings
Rules
- Child Supervision: Adults must supervise children
- Pets: Must be on a leash and under control
- No Smoking: Prohibited on all event property
- Trash Policy: No littering: use designated trash areas
Parking
Parking is available at the New Florence Fire Hall and nearby locations. Please do not park in business lots.
Shirt Policy
The shirt will feature a cool design themed in a Festivus manner. T-shirts must be ordered by November 15th at 6 PM, with a $10 add-on fee.
Results
Results will be posted online after the race at www.smileymiles.com. Please allow up to 24 hours for results to be posted.
Cancellation Policy
There are no refunds or transfers. The race will occur rain or shine, barring a state of emergency.
Timing
Chip timing will be used for accurate results. Ensure bibs are placed correctly for reliable readings.
Food and Liquids
Water will be provided at the stop, along with snacks after the race.
Miscellaneous Information
Bathrooms are available in the fire hall. A photo OP area will be available for participants.
