Join the Flock for the return of the Onslow Community Outreach-Moore Buick GMC Turkey Trot 5Kish & Giblet 1-Miler! 🦃
- Event Date: Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26, 2026)
- Location: 100 Recreation Lane, Jacksonville, NC 28546
- Purpose: To support Onslow Christmas Cheer and have a gobbling good time!
- Experience: Fun, excitement, and community spirit are in the air!
Race Options
Whether you’re ready to strut your stuff in the in-person 5K, take a shorter waddle in the Giblet 1-Miler, or fly solo in the Virtual 5K, there’s something for every bird in the flock.
- 5K Run: In-person participation in a fun race.
- Giblet 1-Miler: A shorter, family-friendly option.
- Virtual 5K: For those who prefer to run on their own.
- Community Focus: Join for fitness and fun while supporting a great cause.
Schedule of Events
- Wednesday, November 25, 2026: 4-7PM Packet Pickup at Onslow Community Outreach, 1210 Hargett St., Jacksonville, NC 28540.
- Thanksgiving Day!
- 6:30-8:00AM: Packet Pick-up at Jacksonville Commons, 100 Recreation Circle, Jacksonville, NC 28546.
- Special Note: If you are running the Extra Servings Challenge, your cutoff time for pickup is 7:55AM.
Race Day Schedule
- 6:30-10AM: Games Area Open.
- 8:00AM: Giblet 1-Miler and Challenge Runners Start.
- 8:30 AM: 5K Start and Extra Servings Challenge.
- 9:30AM: Awards Presentations for Overall winners.
Special Features
New This Year: Extra Servings Challenge Runners will take on the Giblet 1-Miler and then compete in the 5Kish race. Runners will be awarded three medals (Giblet 1-Miler, 5K, and Challenge Medals).
- Challenge Medals: Awarded for participants completing both races.
- Award Categories: Overall, First place Male and Female.
- 5K Age Group: Medals awarded for first place in designated Age Groups.
- Competition Note: Pets and strollers should start at the back of the corral.
