Join the Flock for the return of the Onslow Community Outreach-Moore Buick GMC Turkey Trot 5K & Giblet 1-Miler!

• Community Engagement: The community has spoken, and we’re ready to ruffle some feathers with an even bigger and better event!
• Expanded Opportunities: We’re spreading our wings to expand the field of runners and enhance your race-day experience with more fun, excitement, and tail-feather shaking moments.
• Run Options: Whether you’re ready to strut your stuff in the in-person 5K, take a shorter waddle in the Giblet 1-Miler, or fly solo in the Virtual 5K, there’s something for every bird in the flock.
• Second Annual Event: If you missed last year’s inaugural event, don’t be left out in the cold this time—join us for the second running!

📅 Race Details

• When: Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27, 2025)
• Where: 100 Recreation Lane, Jacksonville, NC 28546
• Purpose: To support Onslow Christmas Cheer and have a gobbling good time!

⏰ Schedule of Events

• November 26, 2025: 4-7PM Packet Pickup: Onslow Community Outreach, 1210 Hargett St., Jacksonville, NC 28540
• November 27, 2025:
  • 6:30-8:00AM: Packet Pick-up at Jacksonville Commons, 100 Recreation Circle, Jacksonville, NC 28546
  • 6:30-10AM: Games Area Open
  • 8:27AM: Ainsley’s Angels
  • 8:30AM: 5K Start. We ask that those who are walking or running with strollers and pets line up in the back of the corral. This is a timed start and will not impact your race time.
  • 8:40AM: Giblet 1-Miler Start
  • 9:30AM: Awards Presentations

🏃‍♀️ Virtual Participation

Can’t join the turkey trot in person? No problem! Join us virtually and run, walk, or waddle your distance anytime, anyplace. How you cover the distance is up to you-- it’s on the honor system with no proof of performance required.

• Race Packets: Race packets include a runner's bib and finisher medal and will be mailed to you by November 20th.
• Flexible Timing: Virtual participants can complete the distance anytime during the month of November.
• Join the Fun: Sign up and be part of the fun from wherever you are!
