🐔 Event Overview

Join the Flock for the return of the Onslow Community Outreach-Moore Buick GMC Turkey Trot 5K & Giblet 1-Miler!

The community has spoken, and we’re ready to ruffle some feathers with an even bigger and better event! This year, we’re spreading our wings to expand the field of runners and enhance your race-day experience with more fun, excitement, and tail-feather shaking moments.

🏃‍♀️ Race Options

• 5K Race: Strut your stuff in the in-person 5K.
• Giblet 1-Miler: Take a shorter waddle in the Giblet 1-Miler.
• Virtual 5K: Fly solo in the Virtual 5K.
• Participation: Join us for the second running if you missed last year’s inaugural event.

📅 Event Details

• Date: Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27, 2025)
• Location: 100 Recreation Lane, Jacksonville, NC 28546
• Purpose: To support Onslow Christmas Cheer and have a gobbling good time!

🗓️ Schedule of Events

• Wednesday, November 26, 2025: 4-7PM Packet Pickup: Onslow Community Outreach, 1210 Hargett St., Jacksonville, NC 28540
• Thanksgiving Day!
  • 6:30-8:00AM: Packet Pick-up at Jacksonville Commons, 100 Recreation Circle, Jacksonville, NC 28546
  • 6:30-10AM: Games Area Open
  • 8:27AM: Ainsley’s Angels
  • 8:30AM: 5K Start - Please line up in the back of the corral if walking or running with strollers and pets.
  • 8:40AM: Giblet 1-Miler Start
  • 9:30AM: Awards Presentations - Overall, First place Male and Female, 5K ONLY medals will be awarded for first place only in designated Age Groups.

🌍 Virtual Participation

Can’t join the turkey trot in person? No problem! Join us virtually and run, walk, or waddle your distance anytime, anyplace. How you cover the distance is up to you -- it’s on the honor system with no proof of performance required. Race packets include a runner’s bib and finisher medal and will be mailed to you by November 20th. Virtual participants can complete the distance anytime during the month of November. Sign up and be part of the fun from wherever you are!
