Writers in Residence’s Juvenile Justice 5K and 1-Mile Walk

Do you believe in second chances? We do! April is recognized as Second Chance Month for juveniles incarcerated in the justice system. You can help Writers in Residence give our youth another chance and transform the lives of justice-involved youth through creative writing and mentorship by participating in its Juvenile Justice 5K and 1-mile Walk. That's right, you don't need to break a sweat to support a great cause! Whether you run, walk, or cheer along the course, your participation creates real change.

5K:

$30, (early bird entry fee) through March 8th
$35, between March 9th-April 19th

1 Mile:

$20, (early bird entry fee) through March 8th
$25, between March 19th-April 19th

Refund Policy

Sorry, but all entries are non-refundable. Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year’s race or any other race.
