History

Amy was an energetic girl that loved staying active riding horses, riding her bike with friends, or playing in the neighborhood. This race celebrates Amy's enthusiasm, zest for life, and love for people. The Amy Mihaljevic Memorial Run & Walk started out as Walk for Amy during the 2020 COVID year. However, as interest in the annual event grew, the Mihaljevic family wanted to expand the event to include a 5K race. This event celebrates Amy's enthusiasm, zest for life, and love for people. As you walk or run, channel Amy’s inner child who loved life.

Donations & Funding

• Cost: Our chip-timed 5K run and 1 mile walk is free for all to attend.
• Encouragement: We encourage participants and spectators to donate and/or fundraise what they can.
• Impact: Your financial contribution to this event either as a runner/walker or donor will directly impact the investigation's ability to bring justice to Amy's killer.
• The Amy Fund: Established to help fray the costs for the ongoing investigation.

Event Day Timeline

• 7:30 AM - Packet Pick Up and Registration Opens
• 9:00 AM - 5K run begins
• 9:00 AM - 1 mile walk begins
• 9:30 AM - Kids Dash (5 and under)
• 10:00 AM - Awards

Participant Perks

• This is a free event. We encourage participants and spectators to donate what they can and fundraise in honor and remembrance of Amy.
• Chip-timed 5K run.
• 1 Mile Walk (untimed) to Amy's memorial.
• Kids Dash (untimed) near the Gazebo.
• Fundraise $50 and receive a Long Sleeve T-Shirt.
• Register by October 1 to receive an Amy Memorial Medal.
