• Event: The Chris Hixon Memorial 5k will honor the memory of Chris Hixon: a friend, Coach, Father, and great human being.
• Support: All proceeds will support the Chris Hixon Athletic Scholarship foundation.

🕊️ About Chris Hixon

• Tragic Incident: Christopher Hixon was a victim of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14, 2018.
• Bravery: He was gunned down while running towards the shooter to protect others and continued to guard until police arrived.
• Career: Chris was an Athletic Director, Coach, and Campus Monitor over a 20+ year career within Broward County Public Schools.
• Legacy: A scholarship in his name was created for student-athletes at the schools he worked at to continue his legacy of care.
