3rd Annual "Miles 4 Moore" Pinecone 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run September 12, 2026

Purpose

• Fundraising: The "Miles 4 Moore" Pinecone 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will raise money for the Whispering Pines Veterans Memorial.
• Community Connection: This event aims to connect the local community and bring awareness to a wellness lifestyle.
• Route: The local fun run begins and ends at the Whispering Pines Police/Fire Department located at 14 Hardee Lane.
• Road Closure: Hardee Lane will close at 7:30am and reopen at 10:00am. View Map

Schedule

• 1-Mile Fun Run: Begins at 7:40am.
• 5K Race: Starts at 8:00am on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Event Parking

• Location: Event parking will be at the Whispering Pines Park at 10 Hardee Lane.
• Finishers Gifts: All runners will receive a small finishers gift courtesy of Sandhills Running Club.
• Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female for both the 5K and 1-Mile events.
• Medals: Finishers medals will be given to the first 100 finishers. View Map

Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Packet pickup will be on Friday night, September 11, 2026, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
• Location: Whispering Pines Park located at 10 Hardee Lane.

Same Day Registration

• Availability: Same day registration and packet pickup will be from 6:30am to 7:20am at the start line.
• T-shirts: Cannot be guaranteed for registrations after September 1, 2026: limited supply will be available for purchase on race day.
