🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

5K Trail Run starting on the Sandhills Community College campus and winding through the beautiful Southern Pines Reservoir Park. The course is officially certified by the USATF (Certificate #NC22019BDS). Race timing provided by Gate City Timing Company.

💪 Pre-Race Activities

Pre-race warm-up: Join us for a warm-up session before the race.
Massages: Pre- and post-race massages provided by the SCC Therapeutic Massage program.
Food Trucks: Freshly Picked Juice & Smoothie truck @freshlypickedrco, Simply Coffee truck @simplycoffeerobbins.
Photo Booth: 360-degree photo booth available for capturing your race moments.

🏆 Awards and Activities

Awards: Race awards for overall and age-group 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishers.
Custom Cookies: Ashley's Sweet Designs Custom Cookies @ashleyssweetdesigns.
Vendors: Fitness/wellness vendors on-site.
Kids Activities: Story-time & children’s activities hosted by the SCC Early Childhood program.

Dog Friendly: This is a dog-friendly event!
Volleyball Matches: Sandhills Flyers Volleyball matches at 11:00am and 3:00pm following the race @sandhills_volleyball.
Location: Sandhills Community College, 3395 Airport Rd, Pinehurst NC 28374.
Cost: $30 race registration fee: register by Sept. 5 to guarantee a t-shirt.

📅 Registration Information

In-person race registration & packet pick-up will be available on Friday, Sept. 25 from 4-6:00pm at Pace Yourself Run Co. (PYRC) in downtown Southern Pines (205 NE Broad St.) or on-site at Sandhills Community College the morning of the race from 7-8:30am.

🌦️ Weather Policy

This event will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions (e.g., lightning, high winds, or flooding), the event may be delayed, modified, or canceled. Participant and volunteer safety is our top priority. No refunds will be issued for weather-related cancellations. All updates will be communicated via email and social media by 8:00 AM on the event day.
