11th Annual MILFORD MOVES FOR VETERANS 

5K Run / Walk on Sunday, June 28, 2026

 

OUR RACE WEEKEND IS A WEEK AFTER FATHERS DAY!

We appreciate all of you who made it to our family-friendly event in the past.

Join us for a great fundraiser honoring our local Veterans & organizations that serve them.

 

All proceeds raised will be donated to Milford's Veterans groups: American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA).

Please consider a donation of any amount to help our veterans in Milford. 

We encourage all abilities to join us. You’ll love our course!

This event will be held in compliance with State of CT, city and health department guidelines. 
 

• The 5k Run/Walk is bib chip-timed from the start & finish- you receive your ‘net’ time from ‘Last Mile Racing’

• All runners & walkers completing the entire 5k are eligible for prizes based on their time. 

• Plenty of parking in nearby lots, at The Milford Bank on the green, and the parking lots behind Colony Grill

• There is no parking allowed on the 5k course

• A free Kids, safe “Run For The Flag” Fun Run- a non-competitive, 200-yard scamper for kids 10 and younger only - weather permitting. All kids receive a flag and medal at the finish.

• A special swag giveaway is guaranteed to the first 350 entrants.

• We will give out the “Most Patriotic Award” which could be identified at the start. So be prepared! Show off your stars and stripes!

REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 350 people, so sign up before it’s too late! Don’t get shut out.

Online registration officially closes once we are full but will be open on Race Day if there is room. 
There is NO PAPER REG/cash taken ON RACE DAY  - all must be done online.

GIVEAWAY - A great short sleeve commemorative t-shirt with size guaranteed to pre-reg

by June 14. After that sizes/quantities “as available” and we could run out. 
Later registration may result in a slightly different shirt than the on time pre-reg.

With fixed costs and pre-payment of many items, this means we CANNOT under any conditions REFUND any registration fees (however, we can issue a credit to be allowed toward our 2026 event). Whether we are live or virtual our commitment to our Veterans will be maintained. We hope you can support this commitment and join us.
 
IMPORTANT DETAIL- There will be a 350 person limit for this 5k event. We need 200 people just to cover our fixed costs!

We encourage everyone to donate any additional amount to the Milford Veterans.  

 

WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR A SAFE START- If you are truly at a speedy running level (6-7min pace per mile or under) we urge you to be

at the start early and ready to go at 9 am. This will avoid crowding on the course and help everyone to run more safely. 

 

ON THE COURSE- We ask you to stay safe, run on the left side of the road or as indicated.

PLEASE be aware that roads are open and police may be on duty.

The Milford Bank is proud to have a great team on their event board of directors. Lead by President of the MB, Jorge Santiago, along with Celeste Lohrenz, Shiela Daniel, Lynn Berube, and COO Peter Berube (also a Navy veteran) - we are excited to have you return for our salute to Milford Veterans.
