Hustle for Homes

The First Annual Hustle for Homes is a timed 5K run/walk supporting Community & Home Supports (chsinc.org). Join us Saturday, July 11th at 9:00 AM at the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard. Hang out after the race for a stroll to the fabulous Riverfront, time at Eastern Market, eat at one of the excellent nearby restaurants or we will be requesting the Freight Yard beer & wine garden open early for our participants and guests.

This event will raise critical funds to help homeless individuals, families, and youth in Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park and take the next steps toward stable housing. Funds raised will directly provide: Essential documentation (IDs, Social Security cards, birth certificates),Rental application fees and move-in costs, Furniture, clothing, bus passes, and school supplies and other household necessities that make a new home possible. Beyond these basics, funds will also support counseling and wraparound services to ensure lasting stability and independence.

Pricing: $35 until 6/27, $40 from 6/28 to 7/10. Race day is $45 - Online registration only 

Race Swag: All participants will receive a T-shirt if registered by 6/27. T-shirts are available in adult and youth sizes. Custom finishers medals are guaranteed to the first 250 registrants.  

Awards: Overall Male and Female winners top 3, Male and Female age 1st place age group winners. 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 6-69, 70+

Packet Pickup: Race day morning at the race location starting at 7:30 am.
