Choose your own start time: You have 2 options.
- Corral selections: If you enjoy running with your peers, we are offering Corral selections with set wave start times.
- Wave starts: Please note: If you are registering for the 50-mile, 100K, or 100-mile HKUR to qualify for a HURT event, you must choose a "wave start" to ensure your timing is officially certified.
- Available Wave Starts:
- Saturday, 7/25/2026 - 6am Wave Start
- Saturday, 7/25/2026 - 7pm Wave Start
- Sunday, 7/26/2026 - 6am Wave Start
- Flexible start: Or you can simply show up and sign in with your own start time at the start/finish tent for all distances.
Start Saturday (3AM or after) or Sunday (most people start between 3AM and 7AM on Saturday morning). You must start before noon on Saturday and remain on the course to be eligible for no cutoff time. ALL DISTANCES MUST BE STARTED BY NOON ON SUNDAY, 7/26/2026 UNLESS ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE RACE DIRECTOR IN ADVANCE.
Location
Start/Finish: The start and finish is at Kalama Valley Park at 555 Kealahou St. in Hawaii Kai.
Bus Information: Bus #23, Bus Stop ID #288 is at Kealahou St. and Mokuhano St. across from the Check-In Tent at Kalama Valley Park.
Course Details
Course Description: 9-mile loop with aid stations approximately 2.5 miles apart. Follow the arrows and cones running in the opposite direction of traffic.
- Start at: Kalama Valley Park (Aid Station #1) running towards Sandy Beach on Kealahou St.
- Turnaround: At the turnaround point at Kealahou St. and Kalanianaole Hwy, continue back on Kealahou St.
- Heartbreak Hill: Make a left on Hawaii Kai Dr including down Heartbreak Hill where you will find Aid Station #2 at Kamilo'iki Community Park.
- Completion: Continue your loop by following the same route back to Kalama Valley Park.

Aid Stations
Provide: Water, electrolytes, and snacks will be provided at all 3 aid stations.
- Environmentally Friendly: HKUR is proud to be a "CUPLESS" event. Please bring your own reusable receptacle or hydration pack.
- Purchase: Official reusable HRP cups are available for purchase during registration.
- Restroom Facilities: Public restrooms are available at every station.

Important Notices
Price Increase: PLEASE NOTE THE RACE PRICE INCREASES BY $5.00 STARTING 7/1/2026.
Registration: This is a Show Up and Sign In event with no packet pick-up.
Hydration and Facilities
Hydration: Water, ice, and snacks will also be provided at all 3 aid stations. Please remember to bring a reusable water receptacle or hydration pack.
Restrooms: Public restrooms are available 24 hours at the Start/Finish tent.
Certificates and Merchandise
- Awards: Certificates, medals, and stickers will be awarded to all registered finishers.
- Finisher Shirts: HKUR 2026 Finisher shirts available for purchase for $25 until 7/1/2026. Limited supply may be available on race day for $30.

- Completion Recognition: If you do not complete your registered distance, please let us know to modify your certificate to the highest level of completion.

Additional Information
- This event is a 50 States Marathon Club qualifier and will count towards your totals.
- Completing a 50-mile, 100K, or 100-mile HKUR run will qualify you to enter any HURT race. Use a "wave start" option to certify timing.
