Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
• Location: 100 Sunset Drive, Wichita Falls, TX
• Events: Full Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K
• Start/Finish: Lucy Park at the pavilion

Pre-Race Activities

• Spaghetti Dinner: Available for all participants on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 5 PM - 8 PM
• Packet Pickup: Same time and location as the spaghetti dinner (location TBD)

Race Experience

• Scenic Route: Participants will enjoy a dynamic and scenic route through Wichita Falls
• Nature: Lucy Park features mature pecan and cottonwood trees along the Wichita River
• Highlights: Includes a man-made waterfall (under construction), a swinging bridge, and nature center areas

About Home for Freedom

• Mission: Local non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to building tiny homes for veterans facing housing insecurity
• Progress: First tiny home completed and occupied by a veteran: work on a second home underway
• Community Support: Aimed at establishing a veteran community for support and resources

Fundraising Goals

• Target Amount: Raising $50,000 to fund costs of one tiny home
• Covered Costs: Building materials, furnishings, appliances, and necessary household items
• Veteran Support: Holistic social services program offered alongside the living arrangement

Important Information

• Route Changes: Home For Freedom reserves the right to change the race route as needed
• Certification: Pursuing Boston Qualifying certification for the full-marathon course
• No Refunds: No refunds permitted: transfers evaluated case by case
• Packet Pickup: Must be done on Friday, October 16, 2026: no race day packet pickup

Registration Notes

• Someone Else Picking Up: A representative may pick up packets with authorization note
• Changes to Registration: Switch to shorter distances not eligible for refunds: longer distances require additional fees
• Deadline for Changes: No race changes after October 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM
