The Village Realty 5k/1 Mile Road Race Series takes place at 8 AM Thursdays in the Village of West Nags Head.

Event Details

• Date: 2026-08-13
• Location: Behind the Outer Banks Mall at milepost 14 on the Big Rd (Hwy 158)

• Parking: Available at the Mall

Race Features

• Chip Timed: This is a walker, runner, racer, family friendly event.
• Amenities: Port-a-johns are located on site.
• Start/Finish Line: Situated at the corner of West Seachase and South Links behind the Outback Steakhouse.
• Inclusions: Race Fee includes event t-shirt, finisher medal, chip timing, and post-race refreshments and snacks.

Registration Information

• No Pre-Event Pickup: There is no pre-event day packet pickup.
• Packet Pickup: Check-in and late walk-up registration is available race morning on site at the race start line.

• Categories: Top 3 male/female overall.
• Masters: First place male/female Master (40 and over).
• Youth: 1st place male/female Youth (14 and under).
• 1 Mile: 1st place overall male/female in the 1 Mile.

• Results: Results will be posted to RACE RESULTS on The OBX Running Company web page.
• Email: Results will also be emailed to all participants.
