Fairfax Egg Run

Event Overview

The Fairfax Egg Run is a family-friendly community event hosted by the Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department.

Race Details

• Location: 8 Fletcher Road, Fairfax, VT
• Date: August 1, 2026
• Events: 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Fun Walk, Kids Fun Run (12 years and under)
• Course: Beautiful route with gentle, rolling hills and Lamoille River views

Post-Race Activities

• Food: Enjoy a made-to-order omelet with locally sourced ingredients and refreshments
• T-Shirts: Commemorative T-shirts available for order upon registration
• Proceeds: Benefit Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department, funding recreational programs
• Awards: Prizes for the top three finishers in each race and age group

Timing and Registration

• Timing: Chip-timed race using chip time for awards
• Early Registration: Register by June 1 to receive early-bird pricing
• Raffle: Automatic entry into post-race raffle with registration
• Looking Forward: We look forward to seeing you at the Start line!

Franklin County Triple Crown

• Collaboration: Partnering with the Vermont Maple Festival Sap Run and Vermont Dairy Festival Milk Run in 2026
• Goal: Recognize agriculture's importance while promoting a healthy lifestyle
• Commemoration: Complete all three races to receive a commemorative item and enter prize drawings
• Registration: Sap Run: April 26, 2026 and Milk Run: June 7, 2026

The Egg Run is the final race of the Triple Crown, and awards and raffle prizes will be distributed after we enjoy our omelets.
