The Fairfax Egg Run

The Fairfax Egg Run is a family-friendly community event hosted by the Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department.

Event Details

• Date: August 1, 2026
• Location: 8 Fletcher Road, Fairfax, VT
• Race Options: 5K Run, 10K Run, 5K Fun Walk, and Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under
• Course: Beautiful course featuring gentle, rolling hills and views of the Lamoille River

Post-Race Activities

• Food: Enjoy a made-to-order omelet with locally sourced ingredients and other refreshments in the food tent
• Race T-shirt: Commemorate your participation by ordering a Race T-shirt when you register
• Proceeds: Benefit the Fairfax Community Center Restoration Project, enhancing local opportunities
• Prizes: Awards for the top three finishers in the 5K and 10K, as well as age group winners

• Timing Services: Provided by 802 Timing, this is a chip-timed race
• Awards: Based on chip time rather than gun time

Franklin County Triple Crown

In 2026, the Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department is again teaming up with the organizers of the Vermont Maple Festival Sap Run in St. Albans and the Vermont Dairy Festival Milk Run in Enosburg Falls to present the Franklin County Triple Crown!

• Goal: Recognize the importance of agriculture in the region while promoting a healthy lifestyle
• Commemorative Item: Participants completing all three races will receive a commemorative item
• Prizes: Entry into a drawing for fabulous prizes for Triple Crown participants
• Sap Run Date: April 26, 2026 - Register here
• Milk Run Date: June 7, 2026 - Register here

And it should go without saying...The Egg Run is the final race of the Triple Crown, so the Triple Crown awards and raffle prizes will be distributed at the Egg Run (AFTER we eat omelets).
