Since its establishment in 2017, the Garfield Ridge Stars and Stripes 5K Run has been committed to honoring and commemorating the courageous men and women who serve as first responders, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Our mission is to recognize their steadfast dedication and service to both our city and nation.

• Chicago Police Memorial Foundation: Supports the families of fallen officers.
• Wounded Warrior Project: Provides services to veterans who have incurred injuries in combat.
• 100 Club of Chicago: Offers assistance to families of first responders who have died in the line of duty.
• Tunnel to Towers Foundation: Helps ensure that all of America’s heroes who are injured in the line of duty are supported.
