The Peake Run: Our Big Ducking 60th Anniversary Run
We are kicking off the Maryland Seafood Festival in a BIG way.
Join us Sunday morning for a one-of-a-kind race experience along the Chesapeake Bay, featuring the World’s Largest Rubber Duck and celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Maryland Seafood Festival.
The coolest part- your finish line will be on the sands of the Chesapeake Bay with the World's Largest Duck, aka Mama Duck, who stands 60 feet tall and 70 feet long!
Race Distances
- 10K: Our featured race for 60 years
- 5K: Fast, scenic, and perfect for all levels
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: Family-friendly and open to all
Course Details
The course starts and ends at East Beach where you'll get to enjoy views of the iconic Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The down and out course goes along the brand new and recently completed Broadneck Peninsula Trail.
Race Day Experience
- Event Timing: All races take place before the festival opens, giving you the perfect transition from finish line to Maryland seafood, drinks, and live music.
- Included Items: Finisher medal, official event shirt, same-day admission to the Maryland Seafood Festival, access to post-race food, drinks, and entertainment.
Parking Information
Parking is managed by the State of Maryland at Sandy Point State Park. $20 per vehicle (available as an add-on during registration).
Spectator Information
Friends and family are encouraged to come out and cheer! Please note: Spectators must purchase a Maryland Seafood Festival ticket for entry. Entry is only discounted to only $5 where normal entry fees for the Maryland Seafood Festival is $15 to $20 for regular attendees.
Post-Race Activities
After you cross the finish line, stick around and enjoy the Maryland Seafood Festival, featuring:
- Local seafood vendors
- Live music
- Craft beverages
- Waterfront views of the Chesapeake Bay
Packet Pick-Up
Bib, shirt, and race materials will be distributed during the week of the race. Packet pick up the morning will not be offered. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and staging!
Charitable Giving
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local non-profits dedicated to protecting the Chesapeake Bay and preserving our way of life on the water.
Participant Swag
All participants will receive a finisher medal and event shirt. Additional giveaways and partner activations will be announced.
What to Bring
Water, running gear, and anything you need for race day. We recommend arriving ready to run and prepared for waterfront conditions.
Important Notes
- Course Changes: Course distances and start times may adjust slightly based on logistics.
- Registration: This event is expected to sell out and once capacity is reached, registration will close.
- Weather: This race is rain or shine!
