Frightening 4 mile Trail Race

Welcome to the 1st Annual Frightening 4 Mile Trail Run/Hike!

Race Location

• Venue: York River State Park
• Address: 9801 York River Park Rd, Williamsburg, VA
• Theme: Halloween-themed race
• Distance: 4 miles, open to both runners and hikers

Course Details

• Trail Type: Dirt with rolling hills
• Course Features: Roots, twists, and stunning water views along the York River
• Trail Width: 3 out of 4 miles are narrow single-track, about a mile is a wider gravel trail
• Time Limit: 2 hours

Race Format

• Competition: Non-competitive format
• Finisher Medals: Available for all finishers
• Official Times: Posted, but no overall or age group awards
• Costumes: Wear a costume to receive a race logo temporary tattoo!

• Parking: Included and close to the start/finish line
• Restrooms: Indoor restrooms are nearby
• Water: No aid stations on the course: bring water if needed
• Pets: Leashed dogs are allowed: trails are narrow

• Packet Pickup: 2:30-3:30 PM
• Pre-Race Briefing: 3:45 PM
• Race Start: 4:00 PM
• Course Closes: 6:00 PM
