Gobbler 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

First Christian Academy is hosting the 13th annual Gobbler 5k Run on Thursday, November 27th, 2025. Join us on Thanksgiving morning for a 1 mile fun run and 5k event! Run, walk, or stroll with your family through beautiful Starkey Park in New Port Richey, Florida. While you’re getting a great workout, you can also feel good about helping local students. All event proceeds from the Gobbler Run go to support First Christian Academy.

🥇 Race Details

• Chip-timed race: The Gobbler 5K will be a chip-timed race.
• Race Start Time: Participants must begin the race between 7:30-7:40 am for accurate chip start time.
• Finisher’s Medal: Participants will receive a beautiful finisher’s medal, poly dry-fit race t-shirt and backpack.
• Trophies: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group will also receive a placement trophy!

🎉 Fun Run Information

The 1 Mile Fun Run is a race for all ages. Participants get a finishers medal, poly dry-fit race t-shirt and backpack! The entire event is family and pet friendly with music, vendors and fun!

🗓️ Registration Information

• Online Registration: Online registration ends Monday 11/24/25 at 8 am.
• Race Day Registration: Runners may still register in person on Race Day or packet pick up.
• Shirt Sizes: Racers that want guaranteed shirt sizes must sign up online by 11/01/25.
• Early Registration: Due to selling out in 2024, early registration is encouraged to secure your entry.

📅 Packet Pick Up

PACKET PICK UP will be on Wednesday 11/26/25 from 4 to 6 PM at Starkey Park in the Educational Center. Please take advantage of early pick up so on Thanksgiving morning all you have to do is show up and run!

🚗 Parking Information

All participants will be parking in the fields at the entrance of the park. The race is in the center of the park (same awesome spot as last year) with the start and finish located at the Educational Center/ Information Kiosk. Please plan to make the short walk from the fields in the front (main parking area last year) to the Educational Center.

🐶 Stroller and Pet Policy

Jogging strollers are welcome as are well behaved and leashed pets.

🕖 Event Timing

Gates to the park open at 6:45 am Thanksgiving morning. PLEASE do not go to the gate sooner than 6:45 am if you are a participant. Our vendors and volunteers need to get in and get set up. This is going to be the best local non-commercialized race you have ever participated in!
