5K for Kids Cancer

Event Overview

The Isabella Santos Foundation 5K for Kids with Cancer, presented by Uwharrie Bank, holds a special place in our history. What began as a grassroots race in Ballantyne helped launch a movement that has since raised more than $19 million for rare pediatric cancer research and family support.

Community Impact

Now, the race returns during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month — bringing our community together once again to celebrate progress, honor the children we fight for and continue pushing the mission forward.

Event Participation

• Running: Whether you’re running for a personal best or walking with friends, this event is about community, impact and hope.
• Activities: In addition to the 5K and a one-mile Fun Run, the event will feature outdoor activities for the whole family.
• Family Fun: Enjoy a kids zone, bites and brews, local vendors, a silent auction and so much more!
• Support: All proceeds will fuel research, clinical trials and family support programs at Levine Children’s Hospital and Novant Hemby Children’s Hospital.
