- Mission: Join us for the 7th Annual Jace’s Journey 5K & Fun Run, a powerful community event dedicated to breaking the silence around stillbirth, pregnancy loss, and maternal health disparities.
- Community Involvement: This event brings together families, advocates, healthcare professionals, runners, walkers, and supporters to honor babies gone too soon while raising awareness.
- Founder's Intent: Founded in memory of Jace Alexander, Jace’s Journey works to eliminate disparities in maternal and infant health.
- Movement: The 5K & Fun Run is more than a race — it is a movement to ensure more mothers and babies survive and thrive.
STATS AND IMPACT
- Critical Issue: Stillbirth remains a critical public health issue in both North Carolina and across the United States.
- CDC Findings: Approximately 1 in 175 pregnancies in the U.S. ends in stillbirth, impacting nearly 21,000 families each year.
- Disparities: Black families continue to experience disproportionately higher rates of stillbirth and maternal health complications.
- Need for Awareness: Community education, early intervention, and equitable healthcare access remain essential to improving outcomes.
