Join us in bringing our community, family & friends together to celebrate the life of Richard Sheltra and raise money to support his foundation. We want to honor and recognize him for his commitment and dedication to our community.
About Richard Sheltra
Richard laid down his life while battling a multi-alarm fire in Pineville on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Please come out and show your appreciation and support for Pineville's fallen hero, who paid the ultimate sacrifice!
Proceeds from this event benefit the Richard Sheltra Memorial Foundation which provides resources, equipment, and scholarships for volunteer first responders. These were areas of great concern and empathy for Richard.
Event Participation
- Walkers welcome: Walkers are welcome in the 5K and 10K events.
- 10K time limit: The time limit for the 10K is 1:45.
- Street reopening: Streets comprising the route must be reopened to vehicular traffic on a set schedule.
