Race Overview

• Tradition: After seven years away, one of our favorite community traditions is making its return.
• Family Fun: Join us for an evening dedicated to family, fun, and supporting education in Blount County.
• Activities: Enjoy local food truck favorites, live music, and family-friendly activities.
• Fireworks: Unforgettable fireworks finale at 9:00 PM.

Packet Pickup and Registration

• Pre-Race Pickup: August 21, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
• Location: HomeTown Bank of Alabama, 2002 2nd Ave, Oneonta, AL 35121
• Race Day Pickup: Oneonta Recreation Park on August 22, 2026.
• Parking: Available at Oneonta High School with shuttle service to the event site.

Event Timeline

• 4:30 PM: On-site registration opens
• 5:00 PM: Fun Zone officially opens
• 6:00 PM: 5K Race Starts
• 9:00 PM: Fireworks finale

Awards and Recognition

• 5K Awards: Top (3) overall Male & Female winners, Oldest and Youngest Finishers.
• Age Group Awards: Top (3) Male & Female in various age groups.
• Kids Fun Run: Open to youth 12 and under, finisher medals awarded.

Participant Information

• Timing Chip: Each participant will receive a Bib-Tag Timing Chip: remember to wear your bib number on the front of your shirt.
• Strollers: Families with strollers should start from the back for safety.
• Registration Policy: No refunds of registration fees: bib number transfers until August 20, 2026.
• Bandit Policy: Unregistered participants are not allowed: everyone must register to participate.
