All ages, join us for the fastest two mile race in Frederick County, Maryland!

Race Details

• Distance: 2 miles that is 95% flat or downhill. Bring your own parachute to slow you down!
• Map: Check out a map of the race course here.
• Start Time: 7:00 PM (HENCE TWILIGHT!) on Saturday August 22, 2026
• Location: Starting line will be at Brunswick Middle School parking lot off Cummings Drive, Brunswick, MD 21716.

Course Information

• Type: This is a point-to-point race. Not out and back.
• Finish Line: The finish line is downtown Brunswick at the Square Corner Park.
• Shuttle Service: We suggest coming in advance, parking at Railroad Parking Lot of downtown Brunswick and using one of our free shuttles to shuttle you to the start line.
• Shuttle Instructions: See instructions below as to how to take the shuttle van to the starting line.

Entrance Fee

• Pre-Race Registration: Online pre-registration closes August 15th at 11:59 PM, but you can register on race day for an extra $5.
• Cost: 12 & Under: $5, 13 to 18: $10, 19 & Older: $15.
• Race Day Registration: Add $5 to each fee above for race day registration.
• Benefit: BARC & BHS Track & Field equipment purchases.

Additional Information

• Finish Line Treats: At the conclusion of the run, participants will be treated to an Ice Cream Sundae, lemonade, and snacks. Ice Cream provided by Little Red Barn Ice Cream Shop, Jefferson Maryland.
• Awards: This is not an award race, but final times will be kept for those with interest in getting a time for the 2 mile run. Course record 2023 SIMON MCGILLIVARY with a time of 11:20.
• Shuttle Service Details: River & Trail Outfitters will provide shuttle service, starting near Square Corner Park in downtown Brunswick at the main stop light. Shuttle will allow runners to park near the finish and get a ride to the start area.
• Departure Times: The shuttle will depart at 6:15 PM and 6:30 PM.
