Hornet Dash 2026 Overview

• Event Name: The eleventh annual Hornet Dash 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run, presented by the Highland Alumni Association in Partnership with the Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence.
• Date: Sunday, June 7th, 2026.
• Location: Highland High School.
• Address: 4150 Ridge Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.

Event Details

• Activity: This is a fun community running and walking event over varied terrain with balloon art, face painting and more.
• Registration: Includes your commemorative t-shirt!
• Available Items: Coffee, Gatorade and breakfast food items will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Foundation.
• Special Guests: Kona Ice will also be at the event donating all proceeds to the Foundation!

Registration and Timings

• On-site Registration: Packet pick-up takes place from 7:30am-8:30am inside the stadium.
• 1-Mile Fun Run Start: The 1-Mile Fun Run takes place at 8:30am.
• Fun Run Details: The 1-Mile Fun Run is four laps around the track.
• 5K Start: The chip-timed 5K begins at approximately 9:00am.

5K Race Course

• Course Location: The 5K begins and ends at the Highland High School Stadium.
• Course Type: The course is a mixture of road and trail.
• Timing: This is a chip-timed event.
