Hornet Dash Overview

The eleventh annual Hornet Dash 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run, presented by the Highland Alumni Association in Partnership with the Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence, takes place on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at Highland High School.

• Address: 4150 Ridge Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.

Event Details

• Community Event: This is a fun community running and walking event over varied terrain with balloon art, face painting, and more.
• Registration Benefits: Registration includes your commemorative t-shirt!
• Food and Drinks: Coffee, Gatorade, and breakfast food items will be available for purchase and proceeds benefit the Foundation.
• Kona Ice: Kona Ice will also be at the event donating all proceeds to the Foundation!

Registration and Packet Pick-Up

• On-site Registration: On-site registration and packet pick-up takes place from 7:30am - 8:30am inside the stadium.

Race Schedule

• 1-Mile Fun Run Time: The 1-Mile Fun Run takes place at 8:30am.
• Track Description: The 1-Mile Fun Run is four laps around the track.
• 5K Start Time: The chip-timed 5K begins at approximately 9:00am.
• Course Information: The 5K begins and ends at the Highland High School Stadium and the course is a mixture of road and trail.
