🏃‍♂️ INTERCOURSE LIBRARY 5K

Every Mountain Outdoors and RunPA Present the “Intercourse Library 5K.” This event is a fundraiser for the Intercourse Library. All proceeds go directly to the library.

⏰ SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

• 8:45am - 9:30am: PICK UP / RACE DAY REGISTRATION
• 9:45am: RACE ANNOUNCEMENTS
• 10:00am: START OF RACE
• Registration: $45 Paid via Cash or Check. Race day registration is available.

🗺️ COURSE DESCRIPTION

Enjoy the beautiful country backroads of Intercourse, PA! A well-marked course on paved roads.

• Route: From the start, follow signs to Queen Road
• Directions: Make RIGHT onto Queen Road
• Continue: RIGHT onto Harvest Drive, LEFT onto Belmont Road
• Final Turns: LEFT onto W Pequea Lane, LEFT onto Queen Road, then LEFT back toward the Start/Finish

💧 AID STATION

There will be a water stop aid station along Pequea Lane approximately the halfway mark. This aid station will be equipped with water and electrolyte drink only. If you require anything additional, please be sure to carry it along with you.

The Finish Line will be stocked with water, electrolytes, and various snacks.

👕 SHIRTS

Participants who signed up before the cutoff of SEPTEMBER 30TH will receive a moisture-wicking race shirt. Any remaining shirts will be available after the race on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thank you.

• Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male & Female for 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over

🛠️ VENDORS / SPONSORS

Vendors/Sponsors may set up a table or 10x10 tent near the starting/finish line. ALL tents must be weighted down, and vendors/sponsors are solely responsible for their equipment. All vendors/sponsors must be set up no later than 9am.

📜 RULES

• Bib Placement: Bibs must be worn on the FRONT and VISIBLE at all times. When crossing the finish line, your bib tag must be ready to hand to the timing crew.
• No Course Cutting: Follow the marked course at all times: it will be clearly marked. If you depart the marked course, you must return to the point of departure before continuing.
• Do Not Litter: You can either carry your trash or dispose of it at the aid stations. Anyone caught intentionally littering along the trail will be disqualified.
• Dropping Out: If you can’t complete the race, you must notify the race director or a member of the timing/finish line so we are aware.

NO REFUNDS. NO DEFERRALS. NO BIB TRANSFERS. NO BANDITS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

📚 ABOUT THE LIBRARY

Intercourse Library is part of the Library System of Lancaster County (LSLC). This federated system was established in 1987 and is made up of fourteen member libraries, two branches, and a Bookmobile.

Our service area is roughly 82 square miles and encompasses three townships: Leacock, Paradise, and Salisbury. The main library is located in Intercourse, Leacock Township. A branch library is located in the town of Gap in Salisbury Township.
