Event Details

• Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
• Check-in: 8:00 am Begins
• Start Time: 9:00 am 5K Run/Walk Start
• Awards Ceremony: ≈10:30 am Remembrance and Presentation

Virtual Option

• Flexibility: Complete the 5K distance anywhere, any time between September 1 through October 4.
• Race Packet: Can be picked up at our branch or mailed for an additional $5, including a custom t-shirt and medal.
• Packet Pickup: October 5-9, 2026 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Portage Path Behavioral Health, 340 South Broadway Street, Akron, Ohio 44308.
• Packet Mailing: Mailed out on Tuesday, October 6.

Pricing

• In-Person Pricing:
  • Age 15 and under: $10.00 until August 31, $15.00 until September 30, $20.00 up to Event Day.
  • Age 16 and up: $25.00 until August 31, $30.00 until September 30, $35.00 up to Event Day.
• Virtual Option: $30.00 up to October 3, plus $5 if shipping your packet.

Teams

• How to Join: Select "Become a Fundraiser" during registration.
• Prizes: Awards for Largest Team, Most Spirited Team, and The Fastest Team.
• Eligibility: Top 3 runners from each team in the in-person 5K Run/Walk qualify for awards.

T-Shirt

• Sizes Available: Youth Medium to Large, Adult Small to 5X-Large, & No Shirt option.
• Availability: T-shirts are first come, first serve after September 15, not guaranteed.
• Registration Note: If registered on or before September 15, t-shirt will be available in requested size.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Top 3 Men, Top 3 Women, and Top 3 Youth (17 and under).
• Team Awards: Largest Team, Fastest Team and Most Spirited Team.

We run in support of local Mental Health and Animal Rescue organizations, aiming to stem the tide of the suicide epidemic. By attending KJ's 5K, you can make a difference in Summit County.
