About this race
The South Foster Volunteer Fire Company Presents:
14th Annual Fall Foliage 5K & 10K Run/Walk
Saturday, October 17th, 2026 (rain or shine event)
Event Overview
- Location: 84 Foster Center Road, Foster, RI
- Scenic Route: Enjoy a crisp fall morning run/walk through the beautiful northwestern Rhode Island countryside.
- Course Features: The challenging course takes you down quiet country roads, passing historic sites and picturesque farmland.
- Start & End: Beginning and ending in historic Foster Center.
Registration Information
- Pre-Registration Cost: $30: Day-Of Registration price increases to $35.
- Special Rate: 12 and Under 5K Registration is $15: Day-Of price increases to $20.
- Shirt Guarantee: Register by October 1st to be guaranteed a race shirt.
- Shirt Availability: For anyone registering after October 1st, shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Event Schedule
- 7 AM: Check-In & Day-Of Registration Opens.
- 9 AM: Runners to Start Line: race begins at 9:00 AM sharp!
- Note: No bibs will be issued after the race has begun.
- Start/End: All races start and end in the town center.
Helpful Info
- Pre-Registration Deadline: Online pre-registration will close on October 16th at 11:59 PM.
- Parking: Plenty of free parking and port-a-potties on site.
- Family-Friendly: This is a dog and stroller-friendly event! Please keep your dog leashed at all times.
- Registration Tip: Register by October 1st to be guaranteed a race shirt!
Prizes
- Door Prize Raffle: All participants will be entered to win a $100 Gift Certificate.
- Cash Prize: $50 cash prize & maple syrup to overall male and female winners from Foster in each race (10K & 5K).
- Awards: Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female in each age group for both the 5K and 10K.
- Age Groups: Various age categories will be recognized.
