Registration Information

• Capacity: Registration for this year's race will have a capacity of 800 participants.
• Virtual Option: Virtual Race Option is available.

Course Information

• Location: Sandy Hook - Gateway National Recreation Area
• History: The Jersey Shore Half Marathon has a rich history, being one of the oldest distance events in New Jersey, with the first race held in 1972.
• USATF Certified: This USATF-certified course is a flat and fast 2-loop course.
• Scenic Views: Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sandy Hook during the race.

Parking Information

• Free Parking: Available in LOT D, close to the start/finish area.
• Spectator Parking: Spectator parking is in LOT C.
• Access: Use the boardwalk or blacktop multi-use path to make your way to/from Lot D and the start/finish area.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive early and carpool if possible.

Half Marathon Registration Fees

• Early Bird: $80 for the first 100 entrants from February 18-27, 2026.
• Standard Fees: $80 by February 27, $95 by June 30, $110 until October 3, $125 on race day.
• Capacity Note: This year’s race is limited to 800 participants.

2 Mile Run Registration Fees

• Early Registration: $25 discount available by March 31.
• Standard Fees: $30 by October 3, $35 on event day.
• Start Time: The 2 Mile Race will begin 5 minutes after the half start.

Event Day Schedule

• 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM: Pre-registration bib & shirt pick up.
• 8:00 AM: Half Marathon Start.
• 8:05 AM: 2 Mile Start.
• 10:45 AM: Awards Ceremony & Giveaways at the Lifesaving Station.

Awards

• Cash Prizes: Minimum of $225, $175, and $150 for Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers.
• Age Group Awards: Custom awards for Top 3 finishers in each 5-year age group.
• Finisher Medals: All 13.1 finishers will receive a custom finisher medal.

Charity Partner

• Collaboration: Partnering with the Sandy Hook Foundation to support educational and conservation programs.
• Donation: Participants can make tax-deductible donations during registration.
• Previous Contributions: Last year, we raised close to $3,000 for the foundation.
