Land of the Free 5K

Race Overview

• Event: Join GCXC Racing for the fourth annual Land of the Free 5K & Kids Fun Run taking place on Saturday, June 27th, 2026.
• Location: Both races start and finish at Shaker Woods Festival grounds in Columbiana, Ohio. The address is: 219 St. Rt. 7, Columbiana, Ohio 44408.

Registration Details

• Registration Time: Race day registration and packet pick-up take place from 7:00am to 8:00am.
• Kids Fun Run Start: The 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run (ages 14 & Under) starts at 8:15am.
• 5K Start: The 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:30am. Both races are professionally chip timed by GCXC Racing - Youngstown.

Course Information

• Fun Run Location: The Kids Fun Run takes place within the festival grounds.
• 5K Course: The out and back 5K road course is closed to all traffic with volunteers along the race route. Water stops on course.

Parking and Accessibility

• Free Parking: Free parking is available on site.

Registration Inclusions

• Kids Fun Run: Registration includes a participation medal, party glasses, custom chip-timed bib number, and optional add on t-shirt.
• 5K Registration: Registration includes a commemorative finisher medal, patriotic t-shirt, party glasses, and custom chip-timed bib number!
• Optional Merchandise: Optional tank tops are also available!

Post-Race Activities

• Celebration: Spend time in town after the race and come back to Shaker Woods in the evening for food trucks, entertainment, and free fireworks to celebrate the 250th birthday of America in Columbiana!
• Event Timing: Gates open at 1:00pm.
