ADFK 5k Trick or Trot!
Join Acorn Dentistry For Kids for our thrid annual 5k Fun Run & Walk at Riverfront City Park as we come together to raise money for Acorn Kids International Charities and Every Child. This year's event falls on Halloween, and we're excited to turn it into a spooktacular celebration!
About Acorn Kids International Charities
- Background: While Dr. Tim was visiting rural Kenya in 2007, he was impressed by how happy the people are and how quick they are to smile, despite having very few, if any, material possessions.
- Healthcare Issues: Dr. Tim remembers the children with large dental abscesses with facial swellings, having little to no access to healthcare, where 1 in 25 children die before the age of 5.
- Impact: AKIC is specifically designed to help people become self-supported through educational opportunities and future plans for vocational training and healthcare services.

About Every Child
- Mission: Every Child Oregon mobilizes the community to care for kids and families impacted by foster care.
- Current Situation: There are roughly 5,000 children experiencing foster care in Oregon and not nearly enough homes to care for them.
