Event Details

• Location: Audubon Park, 342 Oates Road, Garland, TX
• Race Types: 5K Run (Chip Timed), 1 Mile Fun Run
• Virtual Option: New this year is the option of running virtually

Mission Statement

• Goal: Provide clean and safe drinking water, education, and food security for the rural regions of Sierra Leone.
• Issue: Dirty water threatens lives and destroys livelihoods on a devastating scale.
• Partnership: Our Garland Community continues our partnership with Seven Hills Global Outreach and Zion Ministries in Sierra Leone.
• Impact: Help maintain clean water wells and provide nutritious food in newly built schools in the Bo Region.

Event History

• Anniversary: Beginning our 15th year, the event has raised more than $230,000.
• Support: Funds support our partners in Sierra Leone, helping to lower infant mortality.
• Focus: Uplifting the poorest of the poor.
• Participation: Come be a part of this life-saving event.

Bib and T-shirt Pickup

• Location: First United Methodist Church, Garland (801 W. Avenue B, Garland, TX 75040)
• Date: Friday, October 16th from 5 to 7 pm.
• Race Day: Pickup available at on-site registration after 6:30 am.
• Note: No bag check service will be provided on race day, so please plan accordingly.

Trail Information

• Trail Type: The 5K will be run on the Duck Creek Greenbelt trail.
• Surface: The path is cement and goes through wooded and open areas.
• Conditions: Be aware of areas of high and low pavement.
• Weather Impact: Rain may cause the event to be postponed: race managers will assess conditions the day prior.

Virtual Run Option

• Challenge: Run your own course and post your times back to the registration site.
• Tracking: Track your run times on your favorite run site.
• Goal: The Virtual Run Challenge is pre-formatted to challenge you to run 100 miles over time.
• Submission: Save your registration link to submit your time each time you run!
