2026 Green Mountain Iron Dog

Race Overview

The 2025 Green Mountain Iron Dog will be held on September 27th this year. The Iron Dog is an obstacle course race, where runners complete an approximate 1.5 mile course designed to simulate a real-world deployment for Police K9 teams. The course is filled with challenges which often include walls, swamps, hills, guard rails, water crossings, shooting (pellet guns), smoke filled houses, and more.

• Participants: Open to civilian, Police, and Military teams

Event Details and Schedule

Registration for the Green Mountain Iron Dog PRO will begin at 7:30 AM, with the run starting at 8:00. Iron Dog PRO is pre-registration only. Ages 14 and up. This is our timed competitive heat.

• Iron Dog PRO: Timed competitive heat, ages 14 and up
• Iron Dog OPEN: Non-competitive heats, registration begins at 12:00, ages 14 and up
• Iron Dog Junior: Afternoon event for ages 7-13, requires a partner over 18
• Other Events: Includes a timed 100 yard dash, suspect search house, and drug search house (Police only)

NOTE: Please be sure to bring your own water. There is some on site, but your own water will be better.
