About This Event

Join us for the Riggs CAT Rock N Run 5K at the Martin Marietta Jones Mill Quarry!

Martin Marietta’s Jones Mill Quarry is proud to host the Riggs CAT Rock N Run 5K for its inaugural year! We welcome all levels of runners and competitors to this one-of-a-kind race that allows you to run along the edge of an operating rock quarry.

Race Day Schedule

• Date: 12/12/2026
• Registration: 7:30-8:30am
• Welcome and Check Presentation: 8:45am
• Race Start: 9am (for timed 5K)
• Family Fun Run Start: 9:10am (untimed)
• Awards Ceremony: Around 10:30am

Event will be held rain or shine.

Timing and Safety

The 5K will be professionally chip timed using disposable bib tags on the back of the race bibs! Bibs must be worn on the front of your shirt and always be visible. Results will be provided by Garner Racing and will be available LIVE! We will provide a web link to results that you can share with your family and friends so they can follow your race on their web devices.

• Event Rules: Runners must obey all race official instructions.
• Course Adherence: Runners must follow the course as indicated by signage, cones, and course officials.
• No deviation: Allowed before, during, or after the race.
• No bicycles or pets: Allowed during this race due to restricted spacing.

Registration Fees

Price includes custom race t-shirt, custom race bib for chipped participants, finisher medal for chipped participants, and provided stone for rock painting.

• Day of Registration: $50/person
• Spectator Registration: $20.00
• Children Under the Age of 5: Free!
