Lock 2 Lock Marathon/Half Marathon/10k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• What: 4th Annual Lock 2 Lock Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K
• When: Saturday, September 6, 2025
• Where: Entirely along the C&O Canal Towpath in Williamsport, Maryland
• Parking: The start/finish area will be Lock 44 (DO NOT USE FOR PARKING).

• Qualification: 2025 times can be used for 2026 and 2027.

🏃‍♀️ Marathon – Race Details

• Start Time: 7:30 a.m. on September 6, 2025
• Cutoff Time: 3:00 p.m. (17:11 per mile pace)
• Course Description: Out-and-back loop starting near Lock 44 for 6.56 miles to Lock 43 (to be marked and staffed).
• Elevation: No more than 40 feet for the entire distance.

🍊 Aid Stations

• Aid stations will be located at miles: 2, 4, 6.56, 9.12, 11.12, 13.12, 15.12, 17.12, 19.68, 22.24, 24.24, and the finish line.
• Supplies: Water, Gatorade Endurance, pickle juice, potato chips, and other TBD snacks.
• Additional Support: A tarp at the start/finish line for personal items.

🏅 Half Marathon – Race Details

• Start Time: 8:00 a.m. on September 6, 2025
• Cutoff Time: 1:00 p.m.
• Course Description: Out-and-back loop starting near Lock 44, traveling 6.56 miles to about Lock 43.
• Elevation: No more than 20 feet for the entire distance.

🍉 10K – Race Details

• Start Time: 8:15 a.m. on September 6, 2025
• Cutoff Time: 11:15 a.m.
• Course Description: Start near Lock 44, run 3.1 miles towards Washington D.C., turn around and return.
• Elevation: No more than 10 feet for the entire distance.
