- Name Change: The race has been renamed in honor of Buzz Sawyer, a renowned distance runner and creator of the JFK50 Miler.
- Continuing Traditions: Frank and Mike of Altis Endurance have handed over the race to Katie and Adam Lowe of 2Lowe Run Company.
- Course Location: The race takes place entirely on the beautiful Western Maryland Rail Trail (WMRT).
