Mud Sweat & Gears is a mountain bike race held at the Comlara park trail system.
Location Details
- Venue: Comlara park boat launch
- Nearby Landmark: World's largest square knot
- Race Type: MSG Mountain XC style event
- Terrain: New sections of single track, open fields, double track, and short road sections
Course Information
- Novice Loop: Approximately 6-8 miles. Details
- Sport Loop: Approximately 14.75 miles. Details
- Expert Loop: Two loops of the Sport Loop. Start time will be 11:15 AM, or upon conclusion of all Novice class finishers.
- Course Guide: Review the course guide for road sections and rules.
Child Participation
- Free Kids Race: Available for participants under the age of 12.
- Caboose Event: A non-competitive event allowing riders to choose either the Novice or Sport/Expert courses, with no awards.
- Safety Advisory: Participants in the Caboose event are recommended to carry a cell phone for emergency reporting.
- Road Awareness: Sport and Expert riders must be cautious of short sections of public roads that connect to trail systems.
Safety Guidelines
- Headphones: No earbuds or headphones are allowed for safety reasons and for communication with course marshals.
- Traffic: Roads will be open to all traffic during the event: please ride accordingly.
- Start Time: Estimated start time for competitors will be 11:15 AM, following the Novice class finishers.
