Description
- Setting: The Bluff Land Triathlon is held in the beautiful Rushford Peterson Valley.
- Purpose: It is hosted by the Foundation of Rushford-Peterson Schools to raise money for scholarships for Rushford-Peterson High School seniors.
- Participant Range: The event welcomes a great range of abilities from experienced triathletes to first-time participants.
- Support: Volunteers are spaced along the route to assist and encourage all participants, regardless of their pace.
Race Format
- Run: 3.1 mile run starts at Creekside and goes toward Houston on the Root River Trail, returning on the same route.
- Bike: 15.5 mile bike ride starts at Creekside, goes past Peterson on the Root River Trail, and returns along the same route.
- Hike: 2.1 mile hike starts at Creekside and goes to the top of Magelssen Bluff and back down.
- Community: Families and friends often participate together year after year.
