Join us for the Together We Run for Education 5K Charity Road Race on Sunday September 27, 2026, at Great River Park in East Hartford! Hosted by the East Hartford Alumni Association and Education Foundation, this scenic run/walk along the Connecticut River is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of community and commitment to our students. Every step you take helps to support our mission of awarding scholarships to deserving graduating EHPS students and alumni, and mini-grants to teacher and staff who want to offer innovative enrichment programs for students. Your participation will also support mentoring and networking programs that inspire excellence and opportunity in East Hartford Public Schools. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back. Let’s run together to open more doors for our students’ future!

Course Information
5K Race: 5K Course Link
Course Description: The Together We Run for Education 5K course follows a flat, paved out-and-back route along the Connecticut River in East Hartford. Runners will enjoy spectacular river views, the Hartford skyline, and a peaceful riverside setting on one of the area's most scenic running courses, taking runners south along the banks of New England's longest river. This course is perfect for runners chasing a personal best.
1.5 Mile Walk: 1.5 Mile Course Link
Course Description: This 1.5-mile walk follows the paved, accessible pathways of Great River Park, heading north along the Connecticut River. Participants will enjoy beautiful waterfront scenery, panoramic views of the Hartford skyline, public art, and peaceful park landscapes on an easy, family-friendly route that’s perfect for walkers of every age and ability.

If you’re debating on shoes to wear, keep to the road ones, trail shoes won’t be needed!
