Run for Wes

WHEN

• Date: Sunday, October 4th, 2026
• 5K START TIME: 2:00pm

DESCRIPTION

Join Morgantown Running on Sunday, October 4th for a quick out and back 5k on the paved trail. (This race will take the place of our iRun to remember 5k.)

PROCEEDS

• Purpose: Join us Saturday morning to raise funds for the Nugent Family.
• Background: Wes was in a bicycling accident on February 9, 2024. He is home now adjusting to life as a quadriplegic.
• Support: This will help pay for meals, bills, and anything else the family needs as they navigate this life changing accident.

5K RACE COURSE

The course is simple: out and back on the rail trail. Participants will head towards the Core Arboretum for 1.5 miles before turning around and heading back to the finish.

COURSE SAFETY

Dogs are not permitted in the race.

SWAG

The first 50 people registered will receive a t-shirt (kids too!).

AWARDS

The top 3 male and female finishers in the 5k will receive a prize.

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION

You can register in-store during regular business hours with cash or check only. You can also register during packet pick-up with cash or check.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP

You may also pick up your packet on Sunday from 12-2.

PARKING

You may park in the Seneca Center parking lot. Please do not park in the Garage under the Seneca Village Apartments as those spaces are for residents only.
