Run for Wes

WHEN

• Date: Saturday, October 10th, 2026
• 5K Start Time: 9:00 am

DESCRIPTION

• Event: Join Morgantown Running for a quick out and back 5k on the paved trail. (This race will take the place of our iRun to remember 5k.)

PROCEEDS

• Fundraising: Join us Saturday morning to raise funds for the Nugent Family.
• Background: Wes was in a bicycling accident on February 9, 2024. He is home now adjusting to life as a quadriplegic.
• Support: This will help pay for meals, bills, and anything else the family needs as they navigate this life-changing accident.

5K RACE COURSE

• Course Layout: The course is simple: out and back on the rail trail.
• Direction: Participants will head towards the Core Arboretum for 1.5 miles before turning around and heading back to the finish.

COURSE SAFETY

• Policy: Dogs are not permitted in the race.

SWAG

• T-Shirts: The first 70 people registered will receive a t-shirt (kids too!).

Awards

• Recognition: The top 3 male and female finishers in the 5k will receive a prize.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION

• Method: You can register in-store during regular business hours with cash or check only.
• Packet Pick-Up: You can also register during packet pick-up with cash or check.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP

• Time: You may pick up your packet on Saturday morning before the race starting at 7:30 am to 8:30 am.

PARKING

• Location: You may park in the Seneca Center parking lot.
• Restrictions: Please do not park in the Garage under the Seneca Village Apartments as those spaces are for residents only.
