History

Matt St. James is a 2003 Churchville-Chili High School graduate. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2007 with a degree in Social Work. As an undergraduate, Matthew was a top runner on the Cross Country and Track teams for four years. He was out running every day, giving it his all, running for the glory of God. On March 14, 2007, Matt was running at practice on the outdoor track when he had cardiac arrest with a brain injury as a result. After spending over 3 years at Monroe Community Hospital, he is now living at home. Matt has come a long way since that day. God is doing a mighty work in Matt.

Race Information

5K Course Info: On the Matt St.James cross country trails at 10 a.m. Walkers will start at 10 a.m. as well. Please line up behind runners.

Kids Run: 1K run - Beginning at the completion of the 5k - Free (t-shirt not included)

5K Entry Fee:

• Pre-registration: $25 per person (through July 31)
• Registration (August 1-21): $30 per person
• Race Day: $35

Awards: There will be awards for the 5K!

Registration Information

Participants that pre-register for the 5K/walk will receive a T-shirt. Those who sign up after pre-registration will receive a T-shirt as long as available. We will have chip timing this year!

T-shirts: T-shirts will also be sold for $20 at paypal.me/stjames5k. 2XL or larger will be $25.

Community Support

This year the Matt St. James 5K will be supporting a Non-Profit Organization called David’s Refuge

David’s Refuge serves over 1,000 families through respite experiences, wellness opportunities, and a growing, supportive community. Donations help raise critical funds to provide rest, wellness, and community support to parents and caregivers of children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions.
