Día de Muertos 5K
A Celebration of Life, Culture & Community
Join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Pepper Ranch Campground in Immokalee for the inaugural Día de Muertos 5K.
Race Overview
More than a race, the Día de Muertos 5K will be a celebration inspired by the traditions, colors, music, food, and culture surrounding Día de Muertos — the Day of the Dead.
The 5K will take runners and walkers through the natural surroundings of Pepper Ranch, creating a unique Southwest Florida race experience before returning to a finish-line celebration filled with Día de Muertos-inspired activities and entertainment.

Celebrate Día de Muertos
Día de Muertos is a tradition centered around remembering and celebrating the lives of family members and loved ones who have passed. The Día de Muertos 5K will incorporate elements of that celebration while bringing the community together for a morning of running, culture, and celebration.
- Atmosphere: Expect a colorful race atmosphere featuring Día de Muertos-inspired décor, music, traditional imagery, and special touches throughout the event.
- Costumes: Participants are encouraged to embrace the theme with calavera-inspired costumes, colorful attire, floral headpieces, face paint, and other Día de Muertos-inspired elements.
Finish-Line Celebration
The celebration will continue after participants cross the finish line with music, food, entertainment, photo opportunities, cultural activities, and other Día de Muertos-themed experiences.
Additional details regarding participant giveaways, entertainment, vendors, and race-day activities will be announced as race day approaches.
Timing & Awards
The Día de Muertos 5K will be professionally chip timed.
- Overall Awards: Gun Time — Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers.
- Age Group Awards: Chip Time — Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Age Groups: 0–9 | 10–19 | 20–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50–59 | 60–69 | 70+
Overall awards will be determined by gun time, while age group awards will be determined by chip time.
